Female Drivers Certainly Ain't as Proficient at Parking as Males, Says a New Study

February 14, 2010

A recent European research aims to set women drivers in bad light, also if the investigation is a matter to go by, it follows that it's positively not at the back of the steering of a car which needs to be parked. Yes, this is what the consequences illustrate.

At head-on, driving backwards along with parallel parking, men outperformed female drivers by directing their vehicles in the middle of the lot, as per to the research that found a reference in the Daily Telegraph.

Findings from the report went on to suggest that the women drivers took noticeably more time to get their parking to be acceptable, while also not carrying out the task as accurately as their male counterparts.

I Might Need to Get a New Vehicle

February 8, 2010

It's time for me to sell my 1999 Volvo S70 T5 (valued at almost $8thousand) as our home now needs a bigger automobile (2 grown ups, 2 children and another on the way).

I should say that I have been content with the vehicle, I'm not a speed demon and the vehicle manages to do 115 kph but that's okay; I am, truly, merely selling since its dimension is too small for family lifestyle.

I'm open to cars which bear the following points into consideration:
a) more roomy
b) related low emission
c) good on short trips (because that's what we mainly do)
d) proficient on fuel efficacy

I would really be looking ahead to getting my new vehicle, however it should not be excessively expensive, nevertheless be a car which I can rely on, besides being one which is undemanding to keep in good condition.

Basically, if the vehicle which I speak of has served you acceptably but you specifically require to replace it with something that is fairly bigger, in that case what would you go for? I am fond of the exterior of the Nissan Pathfinder. Although I imagine it would be challenging to unearth one within the given budget. 4×4's would be practical for our home because we have our home in the Chisos Mountains and we do have several off road trails are present, although it's not mandatory for it to be an SUV.

While I wait I guess I can only sustain using a rented car

Every single one of your ideas would be vastly valued.

A New SUV for my Dad

January 29, 2010

My father just turned in his Ford Explorer and is looking to charter something else. He previously articulated that this drive was not very kind on his spine and that it had more than required power for this part of the world… Now he's on the lookout for a 4 cylinder or a small 6, and it must be Offroader because he enjoys surfing, etc… and it's the solitary big car in the family, I borrowed his vehicle a number of times to transport possessions around since I drive a Toyota Prius and my partner a Beetle.

In any case, the budget; it's positively under US $32k taking into account taxes and fees.

He did like the Mazda CX7, but it does not have sufficient bite, the Turbo variant has admirable muscle and handles great, but for that much he opines he can do better.

He got a fantastic deal at turbocharged 4-cylinder engine 200-hp 2.0-liter Volkswagen Passat … but he is concerned with reliability as our Audi Q7 and VW Beetle were regulalrly breaking down. I told him that through a 36-month charter he shouldn't have any tribulations (as opposed to driving the Jeep Wrangler like he did for around 4 years).

We also looked at the latest Subaru Outback, a pretty darn good vehicle, you can smell superiority all over when you look inside… Dad even said that he might have bought the car by now if it wasn't because the salesperson was such a nincompoop… I feel inculing taxes it reaches $28k or so, however he seems to enjoy the car very much.

I don't think he likes the Toyota RAV4 , I'll get him to try it out, its cost feels about right.

If you know of any worthy choices that he could think about while not having to splurge an excessive sum of money, your propositions are very welcome.
